What is Hue?
Philips Hue is a personal wireless lighting system that lets you control your lights from your smart device and create the right ambience for every moment. It combines brilliant and energy-efficient LED light with intuitive technology.
Enter the world of Hue with a Philips Hue Starter Kit, which includes three Hue bulbs and a bridge. The bridge allows you to add up to 50 light points and luminaires and up to 12 switches and accessories. Just power them and add them to your smart lighting system via the Philips Hue app.
The Hue Family
The Hue family has two product ranges – the White Ambiance range that provides shades from warm white to cool day light (2700K to 6500K), and the White and Color Ambiance range that has the entire spectrum of 16 million colours and white light.
Both the ranges have starter kits and bulbs. The White and Color Ambience range has luminaires such as Hue Go, Hue Lightstrips, and Hue Beyond. Further, you only need one bridge for your Hue system, which gives you complete control over the ambience of your house.
Getting Started
Step 1: If you have a Hue starter kit, screw the bulbs into your existing light fittings and turn on the switches.
Step 2: Plug in your bridge and connect it to your Wi-Fi router using the network cable provided. Wait for the three lights to turn on.
Step 3: Download the Philips Hue app in the App Store or Google Play Store. Connect the bridge to the app and find your lights. And there you have it, you've got Philips Hue!
